The
Carriage Barn
|
The
Carriage Barn Equestrian Center is the focal point of the Sarah's
Way community. Training clinics in many disciplines have been held
here, and the facility is especially well suited to carriage driving.
Drivers and riders alike enjoy our
- Mini marathon
courses
- Safe roads
and trails
- Indoor
arena
- Outdoor
arenas and training rings
The
Carriage Barn's staff is committed to professional in-service training
with the finest equestrian clinicians. We are constantly seeking
to advance our knowledge and improve the care we give to our equine
residents and their owners. The staff has excellent experience in
the specialized care of mares and foals.
Our
professional memberships include the New Hampshire Horse Council,
The American Driving Society, and various breed and breeders organizations.
The
development team that created Sarah's Way and The Carriage Barn
Equestrian Center includes an award-winning builder and developer,
and world-class equestrians.
Initially,
the site was heavily wooded, with spectacular terrain. The team's
goal was to preserve as much of these woodlands as possible. From
the beginning of our design phase, we have worked to create elegant
homes for people who would take advantage of the equestrian facilities,
and appreciate the uniqueness of the site.

Horse,
Harness, and Cart
Horses
The
Carriage Barn's Haflingers are used in therapy sessions, as
well as driving lessons. They are Blonde, Bright and Beautiful.
The
Haflinger is a cross between an Arabian stallion and an Austrian
mountain mare, dating back to 1874. It is a strong, surefooted,
extremely easy keeper which requires remarkably little to maintain
good flesh and energy. The Haflinger is compact in size, ranging
between 50-59 inches and weighs bewteen 800-1300 pounds. This
horse is a superb choice for both children and adults, for both
riding and carriage driving.
The
staff at the Carriage Barn is available to help those seeking
to own a Haflinger.
Harness
The staff at the
Carriage Barn is trained to measure horses for custom harnesses
and carts. Leather as well as synthetic materials are
available for your use.
Cart
Antique restored
or unrestored carriages and sleighs are housed in the Kettle
Carriage Barn. If you are interested in new carts, we
have a number of Pacific Carriages for your use. Carriage restoration services available
nearby. Call for more information.
