CARRIAGE DRIVING COURSE WITH BARBARA LOWES

Know the thrill of holding the reins and controlling a special journey known for centuries. Learn the fine art of carriage driving in a safe environment.

This course covers all aspects of horse harness, carriage styles and functions as well as ground driving, hitching and carriage driving. Students will be introduced to various antique and contemporary competition vehicles. No prior horse experience is needed.

The carriage collection of the Carriage Barn will be available for student use. Classes are held at the Carriage Barn Equestrian Center, Sarah’s Way, Newton, NH. Instructor Barbara Lowes, is a commercial carriage coachperson with over twenty years experience. She and her husband, Dwight, own New England Coach and Carriage and have done extensive restoration work of period pieces. Enrollment is limited.
