Kids Driving Clinic

INTRODUCTION TO
CARRIAGE DRIVING

The Carriage Barn Equestrian Center is pleased to announce its Summer Kids Camp. Students will be introduced to harnessing, the history of carriages, and receive driving instruction each day.

In order to register for this program, students should be 10 to14 years old, have a basic understanding of horsemanship and at least one year of instruction.

Students will also be introduced to the British Driving Society scholarship winners, Zoe Smith and Tine Amholt. Their preoccupation will be to encourage young drivers, ten to fourteen years of age, to take up this fun sport. They will be available to discuss the British exam system, as well as topics of interest to all those who enjoy driving. Zoe is the winner of the British National Junior Whip Championship in 2000. Tine has worked with the Carlsberg Brewery Stables with their Jutland horses, which pull drays, appear at parades, and travel Norway with teams to various events.

The clinics will run Monday through Friday, August 4th through 8th and August 11th through 15th. (THESE DATES WILL CHANGE ANNUALLY) Space is limited. Parent supervision is not required. Classes run 9am to 3pm daily. There will be a 45-minute lunch break each day. Parents should provide lunches.
